Gamescom 2026: GeForce NOW Opens Up New Ways to Play
NVIDIA's Gamescom announcements reveal what's next for GeForce NOW: new capabilities, support for more devices and platforms, and major PC games in the cloud.
Charting a Course for the Steam Ecosystem
Later this fall, GeForce NOW will add community-requested support for Steam Machine and the Steam Controller, with Steam Controller support arriving on Windows and macOS afterward. There will be more ways to play, and longtime Steam users will be able to make the move to the cloud easily with the hardware they already know. The new capabilities build on existing Steam Deck support and broaden compatibility across the Steam ecosystem.
The GOG Library in a Single Click
Launching GOG games just got simpler. GOG single sign-on in GeForce NOW lets members securely link their account once, automatically sync supported games and open them in a single click.
There are even fewer steps between opening the app and starting a game, and no downloads to wait for at all. It's especially convenient on TV platforms: GOG account sign-in happens automatically, so members can get into a game without any extra steps.
Find popular titles, including Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, in a dedicated GOG row in the app. GOG games can also be found through search and filters, and supported titles can be launched straight from the cloud from nearly anywhere. Keep an eye on GFN Thursdays for the latest additions to the GeForce NOW library, including games with streaming support from GOG.
GeForce RTX Gaming on Nearly Any Device
GeForce NOW now officially supports Firefox, making it available across all major Windows browsers. Members can play supported PC games right in Firefox, with no separate app to install. The Ultimate membership delivers GeForce RTX gaming at up to 1440p resolution and up to 120 frames per second.
Just download the latest version of Firefox and head to play.geforcenow.com. The cloud takes care of downloads, installs and updates: local storage stays free, and games are always ready to play.
Get Ready for Launch
Five recently announced and highly anticipated games will come to GeForce NOW on release day: CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E-Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and STAR WARS Zero Company.
GeForce NOW members won't need expensive hardware upgrades, lengthy installs or any worries about free storage space. Whether it's a brand-new world or a beloved series, they can start playing the moment it launches.
