CES 2026 Recap: HOTAS Support, AAA Hits and More
NVIDIA wrapped up a busy week at CES 2026 with a series of GeForce NOW announcements: from a native Linux app to HOTAS support and a new wave of AAA blockbusters.
A New Level of Accessibility
Linux users (starting with Ubuntu 24.04) will soon have access to a native app in beta. Since rendering happens in the cloud, Linux gamers can now enjoy ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, and other RTX technologies regardless of their local hardware.
Additionally, a native GeForce NOW app will transform Amazon Fire TV into a full-fledged big-screen console. It allows you to stream your favorite PC games directly to your TV with nothing more than a gamepad.
HOTAS Support
Flight sim enthusiasts can now take to the skies on GeForce NOW using HOTAS devices, including high-end setups from Thrustmaster and Logitech. Whether you use a simple joystick or a full cockpit simulation, the cloud is ready for takeoff.
Faster Access to Gameplay
The service recently introduced Battle.net synchronization, eliminating the need to manually enter account credentials every time. Next up is integration with the Gaijin.net platform.
Upcoming Major Releases
In 2026, the GeForce NOW catalog will be bolstered by:
- 007 First Light: A James Bond origin story featuring IO Interactive’s signature blend of stealth, action, and cinematic storytelling.
- Resident Evil Requiem: The next chapter in the legendary franchise, offering intense horror as Grace and adrenaline-fueled action as Leon.
- Active Matter: A realistic shooter set in a fractured multiverse, where players engage in dangerous raids, battle anomalous creatures, and fend off rivals.
- Crimson Desert: A breathtaking open-world action-adventure featuring a dynamic, combo-based combat system as one of its standout features.
