Everything You Need to Know About Delta Force

The free-to-play first-person shooter Delta Force recently launched on GFN.AM and immediately broke into the service's top 20 most popular games. To mark the occasion, here is a breakdown of what the buzz is all about.

The Reboot

Delta Force is a tactical first-person shooter that reboots the iconic series from the early 2000s. This new entry brings classic military gameplay to a modern engine, blending intense firefights, high-tech gadgets, and a level of weapon customization that would make other major franchises envious.

Two Core Modes

The game’s heart is split between two distinct experiences. Havoc Warfare features large-scale battles on massive maps with vehicles (tanks, helicopters, boats) and destructibility, reminiscent of the classic Battlefield series. Meanwhile, Tactical Turmoil is an extraction shooter in the vein of Escape from Tarkov, where players deploy into dangerous territory to scavenge loot and fight to survive until they can successfully extract with their haul.

Unique Operators and Gadgets

Unlike previous installments, the new Delta Force utilizes a specialist system where every soldier possesses unique active and passive skills. Players can choose from various classes—ranging from recons using scout drones to engineers capable of deploying defensive turrets. This makes team synergy the key to capturing points or extracting safely. Teammate knocked down? Good thing you can deploy a smoke screen to cover the revive!

The Weaponry Workshop (Gunsmith)

One of the most sophisticated systems in the game is its weapon modification. You can swap out almost every part of a rifle, from barrels and stocks to optic rails and tactical grips. Each modification directly impacts stats like recoil, aim-down-sights speed, and mobility. This allows for fine-tuning gear for specific playstyles, whether it’s silent night raids in Tactical Turmoil or sustained long-range engagements.

The Return of the Campaign

For fans of single-player experiences, the developers have prepared a full story campaign, Black Hawk Down, based on the events in Mogadishu. This is a detailed remake of the original 2003 game, rebuilt using photogrammetry and modern graphical tech. Players can relive the dramatic story of the "Black Hawk" crash with cinematic production levels, realistic lighting, and modern gameplay mechanics.
