Key Highlights of "The Last of the Druids" Patch for Path of Exile 2
On December 12, Path of Exile 2 will receive its next major update, 0.4.0 — "The Last of the Druids." This update introduces a new class, launches a new League, and brings a multitude of changes.
Here is a summary of the main new features in the patch. A reminder: you can play this hardcore Action RPG on almost any device via GFN.AM — with no downloads or lag.
New Class The Druid
A master of the elements who, using talismans, can shapeshift into various bestial forms: a slow but incredibly powerful Bear, a swift and deadly Wolf, and a Wyvern that rains fire upon the undead from a distance. In Human form, the Druid is capable of calling down lightning, raising volcanoes from the earth, and entangling enemies with poisonous vines.
At launch, the Druid will have two Ascendancy classes:
- Shaman — focused on enhancing caster abilities;
- Oracle — gains a combat advantage through a leveled-up gift of foresight. You will even be able to allocate Passive Skills from alternative timelines!
New League
The second full-fledged League will be "Fate of the Vaal," where you must uncover traces of the ancient Vaal civilization, battle monsters afflicted by Corruption, and sacrifice them to "level up" the Temple. This is the season's core mechanic: using the gathered energy, you can alter the Temple's layout, adding rooms with various trials, monsters, and valuable rewards like stashes of Currency, Equipment, and other loot.
While exploring the Temple, players will encounter the Royal Architect. Defeating him will unlock even greater rewards and allow you to personally meet (read: challenge to a duel) the captivating Queen Atziri — the supreme boss of the upcoming League.
Also Added…
- 20 new Skill Gems — mostly Primal-themed;
- 35 new Support Gems;
- 250 new nodes in the Passive Skill Tree;
- 10 Unique Items;
- 4 Enhancers (Flasks/Tinctures) with new properties;
- Abyss mechanics added to the core game.
